What do I need to do when funding my BOOM account?
Here are the steps to fund your BOOM account:
- Instruct your bank to send funds to BOOM (details);

How do I to send funds to BOOM?
There are many ways to deposit funds to BOOM's bank account, depends on where do you send it from.
In Hong Kong
If you have bank account in Hong Kong, you can deposit funds by:

Note:
- Steps to submit an Online Deposit Notification:
- Login to your BOOM account;
- Select "Funds & Account" > “Funds Deposit Notification”
- Input the deposit details step by step
- Provide us the confirmation receipt by:
- State your name, BOOM account number and signature on the confirmation receipt;
- Send it to us via
- upload the confirmation page via "BOOM Mobile Trading" app;
- email at service@boomhq.com; or
- fax (852) 2255 8300.
Reminder
Apply on FPS, Internet Banking, Phone Banking
- For security reason, your bank might require you to setup a limit before transferring funds through FPS / Internet / phone banking. And subject to banks' policies, the procedure required might be different. Please consult your bank for more details.
Apply on Wire or Telegraphic Transfer ("TT")
- IBAN code is not applicable for banks in Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore and United States. When you wire funds to our bank accounts in these countries, the SWIFT code will be sufficient to make the transfer.
- Banks might impose handling or clearing. Please refer to your banker for further details. All bank charges associated with the deposit will be borne by customers.
- We do not accept deposit through any private remittance agency.
Apply on Cheque Deposit Machine ("CQM"), Cheque Deposit / Transfer at Bank Counter, Cheque or Bank Draft mailed to BOOM
- We only accept personal cheque that is drawn on a bank within Hong Kong.
- We do not accept third-party cheque. The cheque must be drawn or initiated from a bank account under the name of the account holder(s).
- Do not drop the cheque into the collection box inside the bank. In order to credit the funds into your BOOM account, you need to provide us the deposit confirmation or receipt. Please deposit your cheque via the Cheque Deposit Machine, the branch counter of the bank, or simply mail it to our office.
- DO NOT mail a cheque or bank draft directly to the bank.
- For cheque / bank draft mailed to us, please write down your BOOM account number and your name at the back.
- Please allow time for banks to clear the cheque and/or bank drafts. The funds will be credited to your BOOM account after clearing.
- Banks might impose handling fees on clearing bank drafts. All bank charges associated with the deposit will be borne by customers.
Processing Deposit
When is my deposit available to use?
Once we have received your funds and get notified by you to effect your deposit (for mail cheque to BOOM, bank draft and eDDA, further notification is not needed), we will confirm your deposit and update your balance to make your funds available for trading.
For eDDA, after your fund deposit instruction is submitted successfully, the funds will be available within 5 minutes under normal circumstances.
Why do I need to provide proof of depositor's identity?
If the proof of deposit is not printed with the depositor's full name and/or the bank account number, we may request additional evidence to ascertain the depositor's identity before we can process the deposit. (e.g. scanned copy of ATM card or bank statement (with your full name and bank account number both printed), captured screen of transaction activities of related bank account).
Points to Note
Important
- The bank address is only provided for depositing funds by wire or telegraphic transfer.
- DO NOT mail a cheque or bank draft directly to the bank.
- DO NOT deposit cash directly to the bank. We do not accept cash deposit.
- We do not accept third party transfer or third party cheque.
- The funds transfer must be drawn or initiated from a bank account under the name of the account holder(s).
- If you hold a "jointly-owned bank account", and if not all holders of this bank account are BOOM clients, this bank account will be treated as a "third-party" bank account.
About Processing Deposit
- Fund deposit will be processed during BOOM's office hours.
- The time required for handling your deposit would be varied by different ways of deposit.
- After depositing funds into our bank account, please notify us to effective your deposit. If you have not informed us to effective your deposit in 6 months, we might return it to the bank and will not bear any return-related handling fees that the bank charges you.
- We may require you to provide the proof of depositor's identity. (For example: scanned copy of ATM card or bank statement, etc.)
