Can I login without setting up 2FA?
No. You cannot login your BOOM account without setting up 2FA. You need to set up 2FA on BOOM App during your first login. After setup, in addition to Login Password, you need to enter the One-Time-Password (OTP) generated from the BOOM app each time you login as extra layer of protection.
How do I setup 2FA on BOOM App during first login?
- On the login page, Enter the Login ID and Login Password sent to you by email.
- After entering the correct ID and Password, you will reach the 2FA setup page, on which displays a QR code of your One-Time-Password (OTP).
- Open the BOOM App and tap “Authenticator” at the bottom.
- Tap the dotted line on the right-hand corner, tap “Add Account” and select “Scan QR Code”.
- Position the QR code inside the square camera frame to scan it until the app shows a six-digit code.
- Enter six-digit code on the 2FA setup page and submit as instructed.
Then the setup is done. From now on, you will need to enter the OTP generated from the BOOM App each time you login.
If the camera of my mobile device does not work probably, how do I setup 2FA?
- On the 2FA setup page, click the “Get the Secret Key” link below the QR code instead.
- An alpha-numeric code will be displayed in a pop-up window. Such code is the Secret Key dedicated for your account.
- Open the BOOM App and tap “Authenticator” at the bottom.
- Tap the dotted line on the right-hand corner, tap “Add Account” and select “Manual Entry”.
- Enter the account name and Secret Key, then press “Save”. The app will show a six-digit code.
- Enter six-digit code on the 2FA setup page and submit as instructed.
If I am browsing the 2FA setup page on mobile device, how do I setup 2FA?
Simply press the “Mobile 1-Click Setup” button on the 2FA setup page on your device, and then press “OK”. When the BOOM App shows a six-digit code, enter such code the 2FA setup page and submit as instructed.
Where can I find the One-Time-Password (OTP)?

We have a joint account. Does each of us have a 2FA code?
Yes. Each of the joint account holders will have his / her own 2FA code.
I have a new smartphone. What should I do?
If you have enabled 2FA, but would like to move the settings to a new mobile device, you will need to reset your 2FA settings on our website:
- Login your account, go to “Funds & Account” > “Account Settings” > “Two-factor Authentication (2FA)”.
- Press “Send Email”. We will then send an email to your registered email address.
- Click the “Confirm to Disable 2FA” link in the email. Your current 2FA settings will then be reset immediately.
- Go back to your account. Press “Step 3: Setup 2FA” button to go to the 2FA setup webpage.
- Add your account in the authenticator function on the app of your new smartphone. (details)
- On the 2FA setup webpage, enter the OTP generated by the authenticator, then press “Enable”. Now you have successfully re-enabled 2FA on new smartphone.
How can I enable my Biometrics (Touch ID / Face ID) login?
- Open the BOOM App and tap “Login” at the top
- Enter Login ID and Login Password as usual, and then tap “Register Biometrics Login”.
- Tap “Tap here to get OTP” button on the enter OTP page. Choose the account you want to register by tapping that account’s OTP.
- On the “Enable Biometrics Login” page, read the terms, tick the related “accept” box, and tap “Confirm” to proceed to next page.
- The system will launch the biometrics verification procedure, for example, by scanning your fingerprint or your face. Don’t worry, the biometrics data will not be transmitted to us. Your privacy is protected.
- If you complete the biometrics verification successfully, you will login your account.
From now on, you can choose “Biometrics Login” as the method to login your account without entering Login ID and Password.
